Relationships are key

Teams are made up of very different individuals. And all teams rely on other teams to do their bit. Things go wrong when there’s a lack of trust, fear of conflict, avoidance of commitment and accountability, and a feeling of indifference to outcomes and results.

So it’s easy to see why good working relationships - within teams and between teams - are so important.  Finding the common ground by opening up constructive communication is one element of this, but it then needs to be followed by effective action.

When it comes to helping teams take ownership, reach agreement and get more done, an external facilitator can bring fresh objectivity as well as a structured process to get teams thinking and working in a more aligned and creative way.

Working harder for longer is never the answer for struggling teams to turn things around. Under pressure, relationships break down and work quality suffers. And without team ownership, improvements are slow to happen and unlikely to be sustained.

As a facilitator focused on outcomes and action, I help steer teams away from frustrating and pointless circular discussions towards a shared understanding and a more healthy attitude of creating more practical ways of working better together.

Through my structured and enjoyable workshops, team members work both individually and together to SOLVE - not just talk about - problems and challenges. Together we unpack issues, prioritise solutions and turn ideas into ready-to-go actions.

If you want to take a fresh look at what’s going on in your organisation and get to the root of the frustrations and indifference that are hindering progress, I’m here to help you.
